G-Flame Innovations, in partnership with Skillmech Engineers, manufactures affordable biomass stoves which cook faster and pollute less than traditional stoves. Our stoves use all types of readily available fuel, making them ideal for remote areas with limited fuel sources. At Gflame we constantly test our stoves against the competition in both field and lab to ensure our models are cheaper, cleaner, more durable, and meet the needs of our users better than similar products on the market.

Globally, 3 billion people cook and heat their homes with open fires or leaky stoves. Within India, 70% of all households and 90% of rural households use traditional stoves. (2001 Census) Every year 4.3 million people die prematurely from illness attributable to the resulting household air pollution. (WHO, 2014) Women and children are the first victims. Exposure to household air pollution almost doubles the risk for childhood pneumonia. Over half of deaths among children less than 5 years old from acute lower respiratory infections are due to particulate matter inhaled during cooking and heating. Women exposed to pollution from cooking with solid fuels are at much higher risk of stroke, heart disease, and lung cancer. (WHO, 2014) The time spent gathering fuel and cooking could be better spent on education, work, or play. With the needs of these populations in mind, operating from the principle of 'women and children first' G-Flame stoves are designed and manufactured with maximum care for those who use them. We are constantly tweaking our design to incorporate suggestions from our customers. We strive to create products that will require minimal change in the habits of the end user. Usability is our number one priority since an efficient cook stove only works when it's used.
